I am proud to officially introduce WHMFC's first Fly in. There will be a BBQ, cake stall, raffle and bring and buy table. Toilet facilities will also be on site. Please arrive any time from 10:00. The schedule is off peg flying in the morning till 12:00. BBQ at 12:00 till 14:00. Competition from 12:30 till approx 15:00 depending on number on entrants. Competition details and rules can be downloaded here. You can also pre register your wish to entry on the forum here. Otherwise just enter on the day. Flying can then commence on the completion of the competition. Scarborough club has been invited and will be attending. Some members of the local Air Cadets may also be in attendance. Fingers crossed for some great weather.

The next meeting is at the flying field. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the fly in due to take place on Saturday 24th July and finalise any details or issues. ALL those involved in the running of the fly in must attend this meeting if at all possible.

Hunmanby Sport and Leisure - Club member David Bradley has once again very kindly paid for and booked Humanby Sport and Leisure for indoor flying every Thursday up until 1st April. The two hour slot is from 20:00 to 22:00 and costs only £4. You do not have to be a WHMFC member to fly, but you DO have to have current BMFA membership to fly. However we do welcome people with an interest to come and watch. This is purely for insurance purposes and the fact that any damage caused would need to be paid for. This means all the rules which apply at you local club apply here. So for instance flying a model on 72 MHz would not be acceptable for obvious insurance reasons. One last stipulation is you need to bring some training type shoes as outdoor shoes are not permitted on the floor.
