Indoor flying - Starts Friday 4th of November

Hunmanby Sport and Leisure - We have booked Humanby Sport and Leisure for indoor flying on Friday 4th November for 6 weeks. The more members we get attending the more weeks we'll be able to continue. The 90 minute slot is from 19:15 to 20:45 and price will be dependant on attendance. You do not have to be a WHMFC member to fly, but you DO have to have current BMFA membership to fly. However we do welcome people with an interest to come and watch. This is purely for insurance purposes and the fact that any damage caused would need to be paid for. This means all the rules which apply at you local club apply here. So for instance flying a model on 72 MHz would not be acceptable for obvious insurance reasons. One last stipulation is you need to bring some training type shoes as outdoor shoes are not permitted on the floor. We've got some pictures of the hall if you'd like to see them then sign up to our forum. If you are unsure where to go please click here.

The Next Meeting - Tuesday 4th October

The next meeting is at the The Ferns Farm, Carnaby from 19:30 onwards. Arrive 15 minutes early as the meeting starts at this time. Can ALL members please make the effort to attend the meetings as they are for the clubs benifit. An agenda will be available for download closer to the time and we'll keep you up to date in the forum.

Scarborough Model Flying Club Open Day - Sunday 26th June

Dear WHMFC Members. We have been invited to the Scarborough Model Flying Club Open Day/Fun Fly Sunday 26th June 2011. We have received a letter from Dave Nellis with a general invitation to us all. He is a bit short on details, but says the strip opens for flying at 11 am and we will be able to:- “socialise and compete for prestigious awards. A BBQ and light refreshments will be part of the arrangements” SMFC have supported us in the past with good attendance and I am sure will do again at our Open Day on July 23rd, so it would be very good if as many of us could turn up on the day. Would all who receive this please advise if they can go so that we can advise David of probable numbers.

MAA Holiday - Saturday 14th-21st May

Can anyone wishing to attend please email me at so that I can let the organisers know numbers in advance.
